This mornign we went to the Cross Roads Missions to help in the kitchen. We made christmas cookies! We put this big can of cookie powder into the mixer, then we rolled it out and cut out snowmen, hearts, trains and other christmasy shapes. Then miranda loaded them with sprinkles and into the oven they went! We had six big cans of cookie mix, and used them all so in total i think we made about 300 cookies!! nope, actually 750 cookies. It was alot of fun! Dean, colton, and tim also helped out with the canned goods in the pantry, and they organized them. It was my dear father's birthday today! We bought him a GPS that we named Ramona. She has a british accent! We tried giving her a german accent but we couldnt understand what she was saying. Then we attemted driving to Golden Corral, but there was construction so it took us 20 minutes instead of 2 to get there. We ended up driving through the ditch to get to a different road. The food was good and we sang happy birthday to dad really loud. Then in the afternoon we headed back to the Cross Roads Missions to the Family Shelter. There we handed out sweaters and bracelets. The little children all wanted to take pictures with my camera and see pictures of snow. One boy said he wanted to see a picture of a car but when i showed him a picture he said "no, I wanted to see a BIG car" I don't really know what a big car looks like. They were all soo cute though! It was a great day and we got rid of half our luggage!
