A couple days ago we were at Disneyland for a day! First we headed to Tomorrowland where all the toy story and star wars rides were. We went on space mountain which is this really freaky rollercoaster. It's all in the dark and there's some flashing lights everywhere. We took the train all around the park. I love Disneyland!!!! We went on the indiana jones ride and it was really great! We ate pretzels and big horking turkey legs. Mmm tWas tasty. By nine oklok everyone was pretty tired nd Kalli was getting crAnky so we had to head back to the hotel. It is definately impossible to do Disneyland In a day unless you run the whole time, don't stop to pee or eat, have a fast pass, and are there when it's raining. Unfortunately these did not apply to me so I didn't get to do everything. It was the best time anywAy and I have hopes and dreams to live there some day!!

San Diego
We just left San Diego and in the next few days we will be going to DISNEYLAND!! This was a surprise to all us kids! Its been raining here. for like two days!! We went and looked at the harbour in San Diego and we went on a tour of this massivew ship called the USS Midway. To get to the boat this guy gave us a ride on this little tent wagon that he was pulling with his bike. The capasity of people on that wagon was probably about four or five, but we had eight! The tour was very interesting but tiring from walking up and down stairs. The other day we also went to Mexico! It was great because we just walked across the boarder. Everyone wanted to sell us stuff so we got backpacks and I got a luchador mask for real cheap!
Hiking & Sand Dunes
Us on our hike.
The other day we went hiking and sand duning! we went off roading for a while and then stopped to look at rocks and go on a hike. We climbed really high up the mountain. I was busy taking pictures so I didnt really look for any rocks, but michelle and adam found some nice quartz. Then my mom and Kalli went back to the hotel and the rest of us went to the sand dunes! We drove into California and soon the rocky mountains turned to sandy dunes. We would run over a big hill but there would always be another hill on the other side!

Cross Roads Missions

This mornign we went to the Cross Roads Missions to help in the kitchen. We made christmas cookies! We put this big can of cookie powder into the mixer, then we rolled it out and cut out snowmen, hearts, trains and other christmasy shapes. Then miranda loaded them with sprinkles and into the oven they went! We had six big cans of cookie mix, and used them all so in total i think we made about 300 cookies!! nope, actually 750 cookies. It was alot of fun! Dean, colton, and tim also helped out with the canned goods in the pantry, and they organized them. It was my dear father's birthday today! We bought him a GPS that we named Ramona. She has a british accent! We tried giving her a german accent but we couldnt understand what she was saying. Then we attemted driving to Golden Corral, but there was construction so it took us 20 minutes instead of 2 to get there. We ended up driving through the ditch to get to a different road. The food was good and we sang happy birthday to dad really loud. Then in the afternoon we headed back to the Cross Roads Missions to the Family Shelter. There we handed out sweaters and bracelets. The little children all wanted to take pictures with my camera and see pictures of snow. One boy said he wanted to see a picture of a car but when i showed him a picture he said "no, I wanted to see a BIG car" I don't really know what a big car looks like. They were all soo cute though! It was a great day and we got rid of half our luggage!

Yuma
.jpg)
Today we hit the road and drove to Yuma, AZ!! on the way we stopped at a little park called Painted Rock Petro Glyphs. There were lots of rocks with cool Petro Glyphs on them. The one above has a lizard and snakes on it. The rocks get covered with a thick shiney black coating from weathering, rain, wind and alkalines. Then when you scratch away a light red color shows up underneath so you can make petro glyphs!! We are now staying at a cool little hotel in Yuma and we got free popcorn and drinks and stuff and the hotel guy is really nice (i actually havent met him, this is what mommy said) and he's borrowing us some boards so we can go sand boarding on sand dunes!! Tomorrow we will be helping at a homeless shelter (see we can do missions without people setting it up for us) and maybe they will take some of our sweaters and beads. We left some sweaters with Ryan and Sarah but we took the rest and the beads that the sunday school put together for us, so don't worry! Someone will get them yet! Arrival in Arizona

We arrived in Arizona a few days ago. The flight went well and after 8 hours of sitting we arrived at Ryan & Sarah's. We all wanted to sit, eat, relax and go to sleep. But there were other plans in store for us. They told us that there had been a change of plans and that we couldn't stay at their house for the week, but they had made reservations at a motel down the street. I thought this was ok and just wanted to go to the hotel to sleep. Then they told us that they wouldnt be able to host us for the ministery either. I thought that was bunk. So that was why we came to Arizona so now we were kind of lost. The Bedenkops said that they would take us to a Mexican resteraunt and to a zoo to see some light thing but the next day we took off. We drove for an hour (thanks to the klipps dumb gps) and finally found a church called Discovery Point that a lady my mom met at the airport told us about. It was a good church and they gave us free candycanes. and a whole case of water! That was our first two days
